Lyngen Alps

Isn't nice to see a glacier from the roadside ?.
This was our first walk, to the Lyngsdalshytta "mountain hut"

The trail (easy and well marked : this is an exception in Norway),
follows the mountain stream.

Reaching the "mountain hut" (closed in July),
from where we discover a theater of mountains and glaciers...


Not having obtained any information on other trails in the mountains, we went all the way to the northern end of the island.

A cute little lighthouse warns the ships.

 

 

  

Who was the most surprised ?

The sheep are always interested in visitors ...

   

On August 1st, the midnight sun is no longer,
but this picture was taken from our tent,
at 1 a.m....

   

The Jaegervatnet is a parvis to the Lyngen Alps

and the reindeers are completely at home here...
