We were looking for a quiet place,which we found at Lava Point (7890 ft = 2405 m), North of the Park, very far from crowds...

a coating of the same color as the rocks !

From the edge of the Lava Point cliff (7890 ft = 2405 m), a 100 yards from the campground, the view is breathtaking

Only 6 campsites (free camping at this time of year) : rather quiet !
We were only disturbed by the mule deers...
