July 1st to July 5, 2010 : San Pedro de Atacama.
Next to San Pedro, the Valle de la Muerte (Licancabur volcano in the background)
A little bit further from San Pedro, the Valle de la Luna, which "must" be visited at sunset - along with hundreds of visitors... |

The Atacama salar is not very engaging... |
But the laguna de Chaixa is a resting place for flamengos
We observed them for hours... |

At an altitude of over 4000 m, the lagunas Miscanti and Miniques are a magical place where one should enter lightfooted...
The fox on duty stretches its legs between 2 photo sessions... |

But the vicunas are much more shy. |
